As of today we are fully booked. If you are still looking for a room you can be put on the waiting list. Every year there are a few cancellations weeks before. If you are just one person or already have a room and you're looking for a roommate post it on the discussion wall and we can try to get everyone accommodated. If you do not a cabin with us at Chestnut Grove you can get on the waiting list as there are always a few late cancellations. Some people have stayed at other locations and joined us during the day and nighttime festivities. I will check with the owners to find out the day pass fees. If you chose to have breakfast and dinner with us you could just pay cash, i think it might be like $10 for breakfast and $20 for dinner. I will check that too. Across the street is Woodfield Manor Lodge. As of today 4/27/19 They have one room available. Easy walk back to your room whether it's 12 when the bands finish or at 4 when we seem to leave the campfire. lol About 5 minutes away is Crescent Lodge and Country Inn. A few people have stayed there and liked it. If you book one of those rooms and a cabin opens up at Chestnut you can always switch so you're on the premises. I just spoke to someone whose family has a house not far away and they're going to stay there and party with us day and night.
I set this event up for everyone to keep in touch, throw ideas around, set up carpool rides if necessary, etc. This year is our 7th YEAR!! It has been an absolute blast and I know we all look forward to it. I will post updates and important info during the year. As we have done the past few years we will be collecting $20 from everyone as you check in for the weekends entertainment. The fee allows us to pay for our own entertainment to come up and play or else we would have to use a local band. (Children under 15 won't be charged) There are a bunch of us going up on Thursday. If you are interested you can call and set it up with them. The resort is technically closed on Thursday so we fend for ourselves. There are local restaurants and we make sure we have drinks , etc with us. We set up a campfire if the weather cooperates.
Music Schedule - Friday Night with Yankee Rebel & DJ Neil Wrangler - Saturday Night with UnWined & DJ Neil Wrangler
Karaoke in the Carriage House both evenings before dinner. Campfire after the bands each night. Bring a chair, cooler , drinks , food, etc. If you play an instrument, a few of us bring our guitars and hang at the campfire doing some sing-a-longs. Feel free to join in. Rooms include meals. Dinner Friday Night, Saturday breakfast, Dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday.
There is a weenie roast Saturday afternoon. Bring whatever you like. We'll have the pinata during the weenie roast so bring some candy, small plastic liquor bottles, etc for the pinata. There is a rock climbing wall, archery, some people brought games like life size connect 4, cards against humanity.
There are only 2 rules for Mountain Stomp. 1) - NO SMOKING near the main house, carriage house or within 20 feet of the cabins. 2) - HAVE FUN! THAT'S ALL THE RULES! Ginger brings her camera for a group photo at around 3:30 on Saturday in front of the Chestnut Grove sign. It would be great to see Everyone there for it.
***NOTE*** August 14th is the last day to cancel your room without losing the deposit. The past few years we've had a bunch of last minute cancellations and it's usually too late to find someone to fill the rooms so we had to move it to 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks.
